How long will it take DA to remove this pic? Bets please.
PLEASE READ THIS! I didn't sculpt this or proramme it or anything, I just built it in Sims 3. All the individual thingies in it are the propery of Electronic Arts.
I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and when I start something I don't like to finish it until EVERYTHING is perfect in my eyes. Obviously this takes a while. It could be the difference of one inch. So imagine how long it took me to do this. "Argh, there are three gaps between that window and the wall and only two on the other side, it's NOT SYMMETRICAL AAAAAARGH."
This was supposed to be the bathhouse from Spirited Away, obviously the interior doesn't look anything like it because I didn't want my sims to die in it, and you can only build so high. The exterior doesn't look anything like it either, but then I don't use custom content or mods or anything, so I work with what I've got. Boo. The bridge drove me mad.
It looks beautiful lit up at night. Kudos to EA for making such a wonderful array of virtual lamps.

You built a Rivendell?! I must see this! I have a little street at the top of the valley that is solely for themed houses XD I swear, I get more fun out of building and decorating than actual simming.
Yus, I did. It's not entirely movie-accurate, more my own vision of it from the books. And incredibly symmetrical. It does, however, have a river and a bridge! (I made Edoras too...)
I get much more fun out of building than simming. Once the simming starts, those little cretins mess things up by needing things like TVs when this is supposed to be a MEDIEVAL house!
XD I mde a low tech cottage with a fireplce and NO electrical stuff in the house at all (apart from a fridge, but no stove) and then someone moved in and asked my architech for a tv, stereo AND foosball table! The nerve.
I like symmetry XD So whether it be movie accurate or not, I appove Besides, it would be impossible to get a plot big enough for a perfect replica XD You'd have to bulldoze the entire town.
It's beautiful 8D Good work! I haven't built in Sims 3 in foreber ._. Ohja, and the bridge can be made to not have the foundation into the water like that, like a space you know. You put a 2x1 foundation on one side of the water with steps leading up, and the same thing on the other side, then you can place normal floor tiles across tot he other side and you've got yourself a bridge :3 I'm a tiny bit of a master of Sims 3 building XD ...now...You can watch when I was amature building on sims 2 ._. I hassa speed building video or two... [link] Here's the better of them all ._. I need to make a new one...
Thanks, I can't brin myself to pull down the bridge because I had SO MAY PROBLEMS getting both sides of the river at the same height (?) but I'll definitely try that when I build another bridge.
That house was geniu itlooked really small but when it was done it was actually quit spacious I'm working my way through the architecture professions in sim 3 and they keep saying they can't get to their objects >_<
Oh you can make a big single block of foundation over the canal from one peice of land to the other, then just ctrl-click-drag and delete the middle in the water and you've got two flat sections of foundation :3
aha, i totally do the window thing! they just - have - to be - perfectly - placed !! alas i get bored too quickly of building, my thing is trying to make Sims die from different things so that I can get a rainbow array of ghosts :3
this is rather an incredible design, in fact it's rather gorgeous. it's the roofs that confuse me, they never seem to want to... cover the house properly :')
I tried that XD But I gave them all the unlucky trait and Grim kept letting them off. he needs to be fired for not doing his job properly. The roofs never showed up on my ol pc, so I'd never know if they even had a roof or not XD Generally they just lived outside like wild men.
aha, i used to starve and then realised drowning was so much quicker... as evil and twisted as i'm now making myself sound! in my current house i've got a drownee, a starvee and an... oldee who just float about aimlessly
now i need a firee and a electrocutee >
aha yeah, in Sims 2 they didn't care about having no roofs, but in Sims 3 they complain about the rooms not being fully decorated - the whiners
ohmygoodness! have you seen the simbots in Sims 3? they're really awesome
My Rivendell pales in comparison...
(I made Edoras too...)
